Simulasi Numerik Model Epidemik SIR untuk Penyebaran Penyakit Menular Menggunakan Metode Euler

Model matematika memiliki peran penting dalam memahami dinamika penyebaran penyakit menular di suatu populasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan simulasi numerik penyebaran penyakit menular menggunakan model epidemik SIR (Susceptible–Infected–Recovered) yang diselesaikan dengan metode numerik Euler. Model SIR diformulasikan dalam bentuk sistem persamaan diferensial nonlinier yang menggambarkan laju perubahan individu rentan, terinfeksi, dan sembuh terhadap waktu. Simulasi dilakukan dengan parameter laju penularan dan laju kesembuhan yang bervariasi untuk menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap dinamika epidemi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa metode Euler mampu menghasilkan aproksimasi yang stabil dan akurat dengan langkah waktu kecil , serta menggambarkan perilaku khas epidemi berupa kenaikan cepat jumlah individu terinfeksi hingga mencapai puncak sebelum menurun menuju keseimbangan. Bilangan reproduksi dasar terbukti menjadi faktor penentu utama intensitas epidemi, di mana nilai menyebabkan wabah meluas, sedangkan menyebabkan penyakit menghilang. Studi ini menegaskan bahwa metode Euler, meskipun sederhana, tetap efektif digunakan sebagai pendekatan awal dalam pemodelan epidemi berbasis persamaan diferensial. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan metode numerik orde lebih tinggi dan model epidemi yang lebih kompleks, seperti SEIR atau SIRD, serta penerapan dalam sistem peringatan dini berbasis data waktu nyata.
